Against universal healt care?

I have never been totally convinced that the market can actually take care of every single need that the inhabitants need in a sociatey - such as healt care. I must say that I support the notion of it though and that it is part of a society to pay for basic medical services.

However, a student of Swedish Konstfack, an institution for higher learning, has created an installation where she has acted to be insane and been "captured" by the police. The woman has therefore spent valuable resources on what she considers art. I do not care if it is art or not art, I wonder if she would have acted in the same way if the money had come out of her own pocket or her partents medical insurane. I do not think that she had done this, pathetic and irresponsible and yet another reason why universal health care only suits people that take responsibility for their actions. (read about it here in Swedish DN.se)

I wonder what it would imagine if Anna Odell became so ill in real life after this event. Would she be expected and have an appropriate treatment for these symptoms / condition?, Unlikely after this and I personally feel that she has exhausted his rights to have this help, I have a daughter who suffers difficult of psychotic depression (the most severe form of depression can be hit out), usually can only be lifted with the repeated electroshock treatments. So I feel very bad himself to Anna Odell can carry out in this bizarre way, and important resources for health care in claims and expos and worry already very ill patients quite unnecessarily, to say that this is done in the name of art!!!!!!!!????????

Hey Göran,

Thanks for your comment. I feel sorry for your daughter and your family and I also feel ashamed that we as Swedes pay for a society where weird social experiments that the Konstfack student has done in the name of "art". In my opinion, it is shameful and proves that some inhabitants in a sociatey are not fit to consume the services that are provided for the general good. Even though I personally strongly advocate universal health care, A Odells actions clearly sends a message that some institutions should "re-focus" their teachings and - of course - that Ms Odell pays for the costs that she has robbed society of.
